  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • Salt and white pepper to taste

For the Noodles:

  • 400 g noodles of your choice e.g., egg noodles, rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Water for boiling


  • 1 cup mixed vegetables such as carrots, peas, and corn, optional
  • Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish


Marinate the Chicken:

  • In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

Cook the Noodles:

  • In a pot of boiling water, cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and toss with a tablespoon of vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Prepare the White Sauce:

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk constantly for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually pour in the chicken broth while continuously whisking to avoid lumps.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer, then add the cream or milk. Season with salt and white pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens. Set aside.

Cook the Chicken:

  • In a skillet, cook the marinated chicken over medium-high heat until it's cooked through and slightly golden. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Combine Chicken and Sauce:

  • Add the cooked chicken to the white sauce. If using, add the mixed vegetables. Heat everything together for a few minutes.


  • Place the cooked noodles in serving bowls.
  • Pour the chicken and white sauce mixture over the noodles.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley.
