Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 500 g chicken breast thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons black bean sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup water
For Stir-Frying:
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2-3 red or green chilies sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 bell pepper sliced
- 1 onion sliced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Marinate Chicken:
- In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside for at least 20 minutes.
Prepare Sauce:
- In another bowl, mix together black bean sauce, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, sugar, and water. Set aside.
Cook Chicken:
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until it's no longer pink. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Stir-Fry Aromatics:
- In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Stir-fry the minced garlic and sliced chilies until they become fragrant.
Add Veggies:
- Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the wok. Stir-fry until they soften.
Combine:
- Return the cooked chicken to the wok.
Sauce Time:
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the wok. Stir well to combine.
Season:
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt if necessary.
