Ingredients

- 300 g beef brisket cut into chunks

- 2 liters water
- 2 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3-4 slices of ginger
- 3 cloves garlic smashed
- 1 onion quartered
- Salt to taste
- Soy sauce to taste
For the Noodles:
- 400 g fresh or dried noodles of your choice
Additional Ingredients:
- Green onions chopped for garnish
- Bok choy or any preferred leafy greens blanched
- Chili oil or soy sauce for serving optional
Instructions
Prepare the Broth:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the beef brisket, chicken pieces, star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger slices, smashed garlic, and onion. Reduce the heat to a simmer.
- Skim off any scum that rises to the surface. Cover and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef and chicken are tender.
Cook the Noodles:
- In a separate pot, cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
