For the Beef:
- 300 g beef sirloin or flank steak thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
For the Rice Noodles:
- 200 g rice noodles
- Boiling water for soaking
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons black bean sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
For Stir-Frying:
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic minced
- 1-2 red chilies sliced
- 1 capsicum / bell pepper sliced
- 1 onion sliced
Marinate the Beef:
Combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
Mix well and set aside to marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Prepare the Rice Noodles:
Place the rice noodles in a large bowl and cover with boiling water.
Soak until tender, usually around 5-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the wok.
Sauté the garlic, chilies, bell pepper, and onion until softened.
Combine Everything:
Return the beef to the wok.
Add the prepared sauce and mix well.
Finally, add the soaked rice noodles and toss everything together to combine.
