  • 400 g baby bok choy
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • A dash of white pepper
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon sesame oil for finishing


Prepare Baby Bok Choy:

  • Wash the baby bok choy thoroughly to remove any dirt or grit.
  • Cut off the root ends and separate the leaves.

Cook Garlic:

  • Heat a pan over medium heat, add vegetable oil.
  • Sauté the minced garlic until it turns golden but not burnt.

Add Water:

  • Pour in 1/4 cup of water and cover the pan. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bok choy is tender but still crisp.

Final Touch:

  • Optional: Drizzle a teaspoon of sesame oil for added aroma.


  • Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately, ideally with steamed rice or alongside other main dishes.
